Expert Peer Review
Gregor McLean is one of New Zealand's leading expert peer reviewers for erosion and sediment control, with experience in large scale infrastructure development.
On behalf of Greater Wellington Regional Council, Gregor McLean has provided expert review and Environment Court evidence in relation to the environmental management systems for the proposed Mill Creek Wind Farm near Wellington. This work draws on Gregor’s experience in the development and implementation of environmental management plans, erosion and sediment control plans, chemical flocculation and environmental monitoring.
Gregor has also provided environmental monitoring of sediment ponds at the Millwater subdivision near Orewa, north of Auckland. This work includes telemetric rainfall monitoring and automatic sampling of pond discharges.
The SouthernSkies team has also provided expert evidence to council and Environment Court hearings regarding roading developments and re-zoning of rural land, including on behalf of the Environmental Protection Authority and for the Transmission Gully Project.
Michael Parsonson provides independent commissioner services for several regional councils and the Auckland Council. Michael’s breadth of experience within council regulatory services and as an environmental and planning consultant provides him with an integrated understanding of the management of development effects through regional and district planning.
Michael is experienced in working on joint panels and understanding matters of significance to Tangata Whenua. His specialist areas include resource use, infrastructure and planning. Recent hearings include those for significant water takes, sand dredging, network stormwater discharges and a school redevelopment.
